Hello, friends:} And my friends with flair and other Unity addicts!!!

Well...there was an awesome opportunity that I couldn’t pass up trying out for this week. Over at Ippity there were some DT positions open. I know I am new to blogging and stamping and the such...but I thought I would try anyway...I have been working on making my submissions ever since I saw the position posting!! I submitted the following cards:::
1st card: I LOVE how this card could be made with several sentiments....I just LOVE how the bracket (is that what you call it?) highlights one of the sayings!

This card was made second...and I just fell in LOVE with the “family” and “you and I” stamps...I knew I had to put them together. When I made this card, I was working on my “You’re My Type” card. I used the same colors and the txt background. I LOVE the stitching and think that the sentiment fits perfectly...I can’t wait to give this to my husband:}

**NOTE: TRO’G~if you are reading this--forget what you just read!!!

My third card was a simple card to make. I LOVE the colors and the little leaf tree on the side. Nothing special done to make this card...I did forget to stitch on the words until after I put my foam dots on the house and attached it...AH! But it worked out. I am really liking CAS (clean and simple) cards right now.

**NOTE: I JUST found out what CAS means! I was using it WRONG:{ Crazy acronyms!

4th card: This was a fun card to create...I LOVE the distressing on the strip on the bottom. I also LOVE the circles. I wish I would have used a bit darker “teal” on the circle--but I LOVE the way this turned out. Well....the only other thing I would change would be making the circles not so close together. But I still LOVE it:}

My fifth card is one of my FAVORITES:) I LOVE how the bird is on top of the cow (that was hard trying to stamp them together!). I used liquid applique for the snow. LOVE it!

I wished I would have sent this last card in...I made it after I submitted everything...I just LOVE the DP (My Mind’s Eye) and the stamps together!

Side note::: I know that there are some really creative gals out there that submitted cards and projects as well. I did my best, and I am excited that I tried out. I also am excited that I have found UNITY. UNITY’s crew is the BEST!! And so are all the gals that USE UNITY. Thanks for EVERYTHING:}

Check out the other FWF projects by clicking HERE. Be sure to look for the blinkie! And thank you thank you thank you for leaving comments- they make me smile:}
Until next time~
Love, Sav

Hello, friends:}
I’m back with another challenge over at EtsyInspired Challenge. This week’s challenge was to visit the Marmar store on Etsy. Oh my goodness- what cute stuff!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything! I was inspired by two pieces...I found these deer earrings--and thought I could use my antler stamps for these!
I made a very simple card- antler stamps from Inkadinkado and the heart from my Devoted set from Ippity.
The second card was inspired by this little elephant necklace--precious:} I used scrap paper, my sewing machine, cream thread, and the elephant stamp from Imaginisce. This card is so cute--and perfect for a friend who is having a baby but decided not to find out what the sex is until it is born!!

Like I said yesterday, I will be posting my favorite cards on FRIDAY:) I can’t wait to share them with you!!! And of course, they will have UNITY Stamps and Ippity Stamps!!

Thanks so much for visiting! I love our visits- they mean so much to me!!! And thank you thank you thank you for leaving comments- they make me smile:}
Until next time~
Love, Sav

Hello, friends:}

I just recently found Lucy’s website....WAY COOL!! Her challenge this week is to create a card or project using “wings and strings”. I love butterflies...and little creatures....but I wanted to do something different. First, I stamped my heart with wings (from UNITY’s August KOTM) with Perfect Medium. Then I sprinkled some Perfect Gold Perfect Pearls on top of the image. After getting rid (or trying to get rid) of the excess glitter...I trimmed the DP and layered it on some pink card stock. This is where it got tricky--I wanted to stamp my sentiment in two different colors. I did this three times (the first time was perfect...but then I messed it up... eh!). For the string---I used some old bobbin thread and curled it up in circles and glued it to a piece of old adhesive backing. I added glitter to the string and adhered it to the heart center.
This was not an easy card to get a pic of--I know...get a light box (I’m hoping that Santa might bring me one! If not...I don’t mind shopping!).

Thanks to Lucy for letting me play with strings and my pearls:}

OK---get ready...I did something this week that I didn’t think I ever would do. I will be posting about it on Friday. It is my first time...and I am pretty excited about my accomplishments. I am trying not to get worried or anxious about it--whatever happens...happens (that is where God wants me!). As promised (from my other posts)...I will have LOTS of cards on Friday to share with you!!!

Thanks so much for visiting! I love our visits- they mean so much to me!!! Until next time:}
Love, Sav

Hello, friends:} And Ippity friends!!

I LOVE Fridays...but now I also enjoy Mondays...because of the H{ippity} Hops--I love seeing everyone’s creations!! Great stuff out there. Check it out
HERE.

This is my Ippity Challenge card that I created this weekend. The challenge was to create a card (using Ippity stamps) featuring SNOW! Now...it has almost been a year since I’ve seen snow...but I used liquid applique to create fresh snow that had fallen on my cow and crow/bird from the Simply Home set. The DP that I used was from a Christmas Stack of DCWV paper. Gotta love that:}

Check out the other Ippity projects by clicking HERE. Be sure to some love for all the gals playing along!
Click HERE if you would like to see my other Unity/Ippity designed cards. One was from Donna Downey’s website- I won her giveaway from Crazy Daisy Kit Co.! This package was packed with DPs, ribbon, embellishments, and so much more!!!
**NOTE:: it even came with GREEN stuff--my FAV FAV FAV!!!

Another package was from the Creating Keepsakes blog giveaway--I didn’t even know I won!! Not even sure what I wrote...but I got MORE stamps, DPs, ribbon, embellishments and MORE MORE MORE! I was beside myself:}
**NOTE:: This package came with Stampin’ Up ink--which is something that I’ve wanted to buy for a LONG LONG time!!

The last package is my FAVORITE!! Remember on this post, I said something about buying a new sewing machine? Well..my new QC-1000sewing machine came with a FREE embroidery machine (Project Runway style). I am soooooo pumped! I just need to learn how to use it. **NOTE:: Because of my good friend, Char, I opened the package just 24 hours after receiving it!! That does not mean that I know what I am doing or used it...but I DID open the package and place the machine where it belongs!!
**NOTE2:: I know this is just a pic of the box...I’ve got to get some lighting in my studio so I can show you the WHOLE thing--maybe this week!

Thanks so much for visiting! I love our visits- they mean so much to me!!! Until next time:}
Love, Sav

ps...I didn’t mention at all how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE UNITY Stamps in this post...so....I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Unity!!!
Hello, friends:} And friends with FLAIR:)

I LOVE Fridays...I LOVE LOVE LOVE going around to different sites to see UNITY projects--everyone is sooooooo creative!

For today’s post...I have a couple of pics to show of my latest projects. I made this LO for my friend’s baby shower. Jen Harris is having a girl--and I know growing up is hard on a girl because everyone looks at the “world’s view” of BEAUTIFUL. I love listening to the Christian radio...and when I heard “More Beautiful You” by Jonny Diaz, I KNEW I had the best idea for her scrapbook page. **NOTE: she had a shower party at a scrapbooking store and the guest created pages for her!! Isn’t that the BEST idea ever!!!???
The song is about a young girl who wants to be beautiful--but sees in a magazine that beautiful is skinny...then she is 21 and only thinks what her “boyfriend” says is beautiful (even though her boyfriend is just using her)....the chorus and bridge talk about God’s love and how she should look to him for her reflection and to know that she was made just the way she was supposed to be-- “there could never be a more beautiful you”.

UNITY Stamps used: This page has the girls from the Girl of the Moment set. I also used the swirl frame (as a mirror) from the Nov. KOTM. The background is from the Capture the Moment kit.

***This is Jen--she is wearing one of my sashes that I make. Isn’t she soooo pretty! Beautiful mommy!

These next two cards were created for my cousin, Amy Visco Schmicker. She is the chef (and I think HEAD chef) at the Sunset Grill on Sanibel Island. If you are in the area...check it out! She needed two bday cards for some special women.

The first card was inspired by Cindy Lee’s card to the left. I love the layers... I kind of used the design and sketch for my card. The UNITY stamp used is in the background--the torn music strip of paper. Love that stamp!

The next card uses an Ippity stamp from Life’s Little Moments kits, along with a calendar stamp from UNITY’s Sept. KOTM. I love the pink, coral, and black colors together. Too cute:)

The next two cards were inspired by our FWF challenge #3. We were to create something based on Michelle Woerner’s card. I used the design and rotated it...also using the idea of “pale” colors...although, now that I think about it...my dp isn’t really that pale...eh.

***THIS card is on the UNITY Blog today!

UNITY Stamps used: This set used the coffee mug and sentiment from the Setp. KOTM. The following card used a stamp and sentiment from the August KOTM.

Well if you’ve made it this far in my post--CONGRATULATIONS:} Check out the other FWF projects by clicking HERE. Be sure to look for the blinkie! And don’t forget to leave comments for all the gals--we love hearing from you:)

Click HERE if you would like to see my other Unity designed cards. Or click HERE if you want to visit my gallery on Splitcoast Stampers.

I’m still working on some projects that I CANNNNNOOOOOT wait to share with you--hopefully, I can finish them and post it by next Wednesday--fingers crossed:)

thanks so much for visiting! I love our visits- they mean so much to me!!!
Well hello friends! I have a very simple card to share with you today. I was shocked when I created it...this card is from the EtsyInspired Challenge blog. This week we were to visit So Stinking Sweet. As soon as I saw these soaps...I knew I had to use my UNITY Stamps...well actually my Ippity stamp from the Because of You line. I actually switched the colors around and used red as my background. **NOTE:: I am not a big fan of simple cards...but I think this one is sooooo precious...that I might be changing my mind!
**NOTE:: sorry for the dark pic...I’m working on the different backgrounds and lighting techniques...however, it was hot and sunny today...and then when I went to take a pic (and take Olsen out for a potty break) nothing but RAIN!

I think the stamp is so stinking cute (HA! I kind of used the Sponsor's name!!)--it says “so in love with you”. I love Unity and Ippity stamps! **NOTE to SELF::: create Ippity page for selling!

I know I said that I would post today pics of the second scrapbooking page for my friend’s shower... well that will happen tomorrow! I am actually beat from working this morning on cards and orders...more to come tom--I PROMISE:}

thanks so much for visiting! I love our visits- they mean so much to me!!! Until next time:}
Love, Sav

Hello, friends:}

Welcome back!! Oh so good to visit again! Today I would like to share another challenge card that I created. I just happened to find this AWESOME website::: Everything But the Kitchen Sink! This week’s challenge was to create a project that incorporated toothpicks. Yep--toothpicks. I had a hard time with this--but I really like my finished card. I had three ideas: 1. Use toothpicks to make the pines on my UNITY Stamps- Christmas Bough 2. Use toothpicks to make the school house stamp from UNITY or 3....the following card!

I painted the toothpicks and then cut the ends. I glued them onto the card front and then stamped on top of it with a woodgrain stamp from Hero Arts. I added the embellishments...LOVE IT:) I think it is very manly--someone in my fam might be getting this card soon for his birthday!!

I’ve been really busy lately--just ask Trav! Tomorrow I will post my second page for my friend’s baby shower---it is my FAVORITE scrapbook page EVER!!!

thanks so much for visiting! I love our visits- they mean so much to me!!! Until next time:}
Love, Sav

Hello, friends:} Oh so good to visit again!

Today is a special day for hopping- Ippity is having their first blog hop!!! If you haven’t checked out the Ippity stamps or crew yet....DO SO NOW:)

I’ve been messing around with my set lately.... LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I also am in LOVE with the color yellow--or dull yellow or gold yellow... LOVE IT! When I saw this DP, I had to use my Ippity on it!!! I used the tree, chicken, and sentiment from the Simply Home set. The house is from the Devoted Ippity set. The DP is from Recollections- Birdwatching/Bird Cage. For coloring--I used some chalks, brown dye ink, and gel pens. I am kind of fond of these pens lately--nice little touch! The clear pen is good for the sentiment--makes it stand out.
**NOTE:: does anyone notice something different about my pics? I have a white background...still working on the photo box...soon!

Check out the other Ippity projects by clicking HERE.
Hello, friends:} And my friends with flair! Oh so good to visit again!

I love FRIDAYS::: 1. It means the weekend is here 2. It’s fun to sleep in 3. FRIDAYS WITH FLAIR at UNITY!!! This week I have lots to share!! So here we go....

My first card that I would like to share is my FWF week 2 challenge creation. This week we were inspired by a great set by Carolina. I used her colors: red, black, and white/cream for my inspiration. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my card (must be because of the UNITY stamps)!! I love how it turned out--and what a cute little stamp set! {You’re my type!}
Side note:: I swear (you can ask Trav) that two or three months ago I said, “Self, I think there should be a typewriter stamp!”. Can you believe that? Stamps used::: Unity Nov. KOTM.

My second card that I would like to share is the card that I created for Trav a couple of weeks ago before we performed at Gospel Gifts for a music night. I always try to hide my cards in places that will surprise him. Well, this particular night, I hid it in our music. I had to leave to drive back home (forgot my cookies) waiting the whole time for a phone call that he had found it. NOPE! I had to show it to him! AH! Unity stamps used: Oct. KOTM.
This next card was created for the Ippity happenings on Splitcoast! I love how this card turned out too! The right side of the card was reused paper- it was on my bday card from my friend, Heather R. {thanks, Heather!}. Simple but sweet! Ippity stamps used:: Just Wanted to Say.

Another card I created was for my friend, Jennifer Am. She is soooo AMAZING! She went shopping with me (and DROVE!!!) on Black Friday! When she asked me to shop with her- I knew I had to create a card using my NOV. KOTM stamps! The girls are colored in with Gel pens (I had never used them before--so I really liked them!). Unity stamps used:: NOV. KOTM and Ippity stamps used:: Life’s Lttle Moments.
My last creation this week is one of my baby pages for a friend, Jennifer H. I am going to her shower on Sunday--and we are doing it at a scrapbooking store! How cute is that? We will create pages while we are there (I thought we were supposed to do them before! HA!). I wanted Jen to be able to use this page anytime- so a photo will go in between the brackets...any photo...updated at any time! And who can go wrong with butterflies. Unity stamps used :: NOV. KOTM and Nov. Scrapbooking kit.

Check out the other FWF projects by clicking HERE. Be sure to look for the blinkie!

Click HERE if you would like to see my other Unity designed cards. Or click HERE if you want to visit my gallery on Splitcoast Stampers.

Well that is all for now--I will try and redo the last baby page (didn’t like how I messed it up...that is what I get for messing with it!) tomorrow. I still have more secret projects that I am completing! I can’t WAIT to show you!!!

one last thing...my FAVORITE stamps are from UNITY Stamps {I know I have said that a million times!} I can’t believe how much I have created since I have found Unity! THANKS to all from UNITY! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

If you have made it this far--CONGRATS:) I hope that you enjoy your weekend--thanks so much for visiting!
